Graduated with a degree in Landscape Design and Construction. My experience installing and managing landscape projects at all levels puts me in a unique position of understanding the homeowner, contractor, and designer viewpoints. This is especially useful when creating a functional & sustainable design that will cater to my client’s specific needs for years to come. Began working in the Landscape industry in 1991 for summer work. After two summer seasons of landscaping, I decided to pursue a degree in landscape construction and design. During those years of schooling and summers, I went from foreman, to project manager, to a landscape designer. In that time, I gained experience and confidence working in all areas of the industry – construction, project management, design, and sales.

Started at Southview Design in 2004 as a Project Manager. I enjoy working with new people in the industry - teaching and exchanging ideas on proper construction practices and the importance of taking time to do things the right way.

  • I have designed/installed projects ranging from small backyards to large estates, hotels, corporate headquarters from patios, fountain fire features to outdoor living spaces.
  • My wife, Stacy, and I live in Crystal with our two cats (Emma & Charlie) and enjoy being outdoors in our yard with friends and occasional walks around Theodore Wirth Park.
  • I have been appointed to the board and head of buildings & grounds for the Madeline Island Yacht Club, where my wife and I spend any bit of summer free time on our sailboat (SV Finisterra) exploring the Apostle Islands and shores of Lake Superior which always sparks inspiration for future projects.
  • In the winter, I always make time for a few mountain ski getaways along with XC skiing around our local trails. I also enjoy mountain biking and fly-fishing.
