Wanted: A Warm, Inviting Front Entry

We have all heard how curb appeal can increase the value of a house or sell it faster. This home suffered from the blahs. A covered entry, retaining walls and pavers added much-needed drama. Re-grading and rock mulch solved a small water issue at the foundation. When completed, the home looks larger and more inviting. The homeowners shared their hot-button landscape issues: a steep hill is impossible for guests to climb and difficult to mow; asphalt driveway is ugly; the front of the house is flat and the entry outdated.

Before: BEFORE – Mowing the lawn and keeping it green in the summer sun was impossible.

After: AFTER – Modular retaining walls with wide steps and landings extend the architecture of the home to the street.
