It’s not “entertaining,” it’s having people over

Backyard design for spending time together.

Entertaining means planning, preparing, and cleaning. Stressful. Having people over is a breeze – all it takes is a text. Flexibility plus distinction

Adaptable patio with separate spaces for different uses.

The main patio is located right next to the house and is divided into two sections, each with it’s own focal point. The largest area is currently set up as a dining patio and could be adapted to accommodate a reception or large party.

Still connected to the main patio but in a separate space defined by a circular paver border is the first of two fire features. Tucked into the garden and outlined by a stacked stone seat wall, this patio features a propane fire table.

Propane fire tables offer instant heat, never need wood, and don’t require the installation of any underground piping. Plus, they can be easily relocated or put away for the winter.

Take a deep breath and relax

Your troubles are far away when you sit around the fire.

On the top of this client's list of must-have features for their new backyard was a wood burning fire pit near the lake. Closer to the water and designed to have a more rustic feeling, this is the perfect setting to enjoy the view of the lake and that smokey campfire aroma.

The full color chilton stone patio is held in place by a polymeric sand that hardens to prevent weeds and grass from growing between the stones. A low stone wall provides extra seating in a pinch.
