First, we trust you are all taking steps to remain safe and healthy.

Second, we want to make sure you know that Southview Design is open for business.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has issued a “stay at home” directive to be effective March 28 through April 10. In his directive, several types of businesses have been designated as “essential businesses”, meaning they have the ability to continue operations during the “stay at home” period. Included in this designation is NAICS code 5617, “Services to Buildings and Dwellings”, which includes landscape services. Specifically, the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association has confirmed with the Governor’s office that Landscape services (subcategory 561730) fall within this category.

What This Means

  • Our crews will continue running their normal schedules. As before, safety is the primary concern:
  • We are limiting the number of crew members in company vehicles to one or two.
  • Company vehicles and equipment are being thoroughly sanitized and disinfected at the beginning & end of each shift.
  • Crew members are maintaining proper social distance from each other as they perform their duties.
  • Crew members are to avoid any personal contact with clients or the public at large.
  • Crew members are not allowed to enter any client's home or facility for any reason.

If you have a concern with crews operating on your property, please let us know.

Client meetings are continuing on schedule via phone, Zoom video conferencing, and online document sharing. Southview office functions are still running normally albeit with staff working from home.

We have a significant backlog of projects going into the landscape season and will be operating at full capacity as the landscape season officially begins.

Our plan is to continue to function as close to normal as possible under the circumstances. We will be fully able to meet our service obligations going forward. As always, we appreciate the trust and confidence you've placed in us. Please let us know if you have any questions.
