Summary
The People and Culture Coordinator will be integral in helping to provide an environment in which people can grow professionally and personally. This position will be responsible for getting the right people in the door and onboarded.
Responsibilities
Typical job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create and post open positions, screen resumes, complete
phone and in person interviews. And maintain electronic records of applicants
and process.
- Participate in networking events to identify
prospective job candidates
- Coordinates new hire orientation and onboarding
process for hourly field staff
- 7/15/30 day check-ins with new employees.
- Weekly job site visits to check in with all
crews, record and track concerns expressed. Track changes based on employee
feedback from field conversations
- Promote internal field recruiting efforts
(referrals)
- Be available for employee requests, questions,
periodic jobsite visits and general help for employees. More complex questions
get referred up to senior level manager.
- Help to identify crew member’s career
aspirations and work with managers to develop high performance teams
- Facilitate employee engagement and recognition
activities. Handle employee relations for such things as births, bereavement,
and recognitions
- Acquire, distribute, trouble-shoot and
coordinate changes with cell phones and tablets. Perform training on devices for required
operating systems.
- Keep employment files up-to-date and in
compliance with local, state and national laws.
- Coordinate with staffing agency for new hires.
Convert temporary employees to SVD employee after 30 days.
- Other duties as assigned
Education
Formal post-high school education and/or certification in Human
Resources or related field. Associates Degree or above preferred.
Experience
Three or more years of HR and/or recruiting experience. Able to read write and speak Spanish. Experience with HRIS software (Paycom preferred but not required). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Time management, creative problem solving, organization, and customer service skills/experience required
