What is the complimentary consultation?
This is a free initial meeting. You have a conversation with one of our designers. It’s a chance to talk about the scope of your project either on the phone or at your home. After that conversation, you decide whether you want to hire the designer to create a design/estimate according to your budget. To proceed, there will be a design fee.
Why is there a design fee? The last company I called didn’t have a fee.
Our design fee covers the cost of pictures, measuring crew, design/concept development, and designer time.
Does the design fee go toward the project?
Design fees are separate from the installation costs and cover the concept/design preparation, including a preliminary estimate.
But I just want a “ballpark” estimate….
Every project is unique, and estimating costs accurately takes some time and effort. We believe in giving you accurate information you can rely on to make informed decisions. That's why we won’t give “ballpark” estimates. Instead, we will visit your property, ask questions, measure the site, take pictures, and create a concept design with a preliminary estimate.
Do you do grading/drainage?
Yes, usually as part of a landscape project.
What if I don’t need a design – just an estimate?
In most cases, landscape projects require a scaled design. We offer an initial consultation at no charge to understand the scope of your project. If you wish to proceed, there is a design fee which covers measuring, taking photographs, creating concepts unique to your project, and providing an estimate for the work to be done.
What if I already have a design? Can you work with that?
Our designers will review the design. We can’t guarantee we will be able to use it.
