This Apple Valley project won a 2012 Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association award. When the designer first saw the home, he knew he had his work cut out for him. The outside space was a disaster with a back deck and the small slab patio underneath.

Steep grade along the sides of the home made any kind of landscaping impossible. No access from front to the back patio other than through the house.
