Throughout the Twin Cities, Southview Design landscaping customers are enthusiastic about referring us to friends, neighbors, and family.
Landscape designers and architects from Southview Design share their knowledge and expertise with ideas, news, knowledge and trends.
Mr. and Mrs. Homeowner just finished renovating their empty nest when they were called upon by their grateful offspring to host a wedding. While the backyard pond provided an idyllic background for the reception, their small, steeply sloping yard had no hope of accommodating all the guests. In just 10 days, Southview Design leveled the ground and installed new terraced patios in this Eden Prairie backyard.
Before: Small back yard and patio
After: Multi-level patio
The backyard quickly sloped away from the walk-out basement. In order to create more usable spaces, we create an expansive patio that stretches around the house to the side yard.
The terraced design separates different functions, and created enough space to accommodate 125 guests for a wedding.
Our Design-Build Process
Multi-level backyard patio and retaining walls.
The modular block retaining wall is built with several different brick sizes and echos French pattern paver patio.
Gardens around the fire table offer color in all seasons. From bright summer flowers, to sturdy evergreens. Soon, these baby plants will fill out to create a more private patio retreat.
Leveling the backyard space and lighting the retaining wall provides a grounding base for the home – ultimately, creating a more cohesive environment.
Our construction crews took great care to protect this unique piece of garden art when they were working in such close quarters.
