After completing an extensive indoor remodel, these homeowners turned their attention to the outdoor space. The backyard, left mostly untouched since the 1990's, did not complement the recent interior improvements. Deteriorating hardscape, an awkwardly shaped pool, and an overall lackluster design diminished the appeal of spending time outdoors.
In the homeowner's own words, “Our entire landscape is failing. This isn't a landscape project; it’s a complete remodel.”
The newly renovated backyard includes a custom gazebo, kitchen, gas fireplace, dining patio and plenty of space for lounging.
The homeowners pictured an outdoor space that harmonized with their newly remodeled home. They wanted a large symmetrical swimming pool, custom gas fireplace, covered outdoor kitchen, water feature, and new front entry. The goal was a well-defined outdoor living space with fewer steps and an inviting aesthetic.

Bluestone pavers were chosen for the pool deck, patios, walls, and fireplace, with darker stone pieces hand-selected to complement the home's style and architecture. Furthermore, the white gazebo columns and brick accents were thoughtfully selected to match the home's exterior. These details were considered throughout the entire landscape design, ensuring a seamless sense of continuity and cohesion. By nightfall, the walls come to life with the gentle glow of low-voltage lighting discreetly placed beneath the caps. The beds include an assortment of low-maintenance plantings, including ornamental grasses, hydrangeas, and black-eyed Susans.
The side yard includes an additional patio area, complete with a fire table and comfy chairs.
