This Eden Prairie, MN home was handed down from father to son. The son could recall many good times at the lake home and he wanted the same experience for his family. After the interior had been lovingly remodeled, the exterior was definitely in need of help. With timber walls failing and limited outdoor space for entertaining, Southview Design worked with the homeowners to create outdoor rooms for the kids as well as the adults, planned for stone walls to replace the timbers, improved the traffic flow from inside the house and around the outside, and added three basalt-column water features with a stream and waterfall. You are probably asking yourself, "Why do they need water features if they are on a lake?" Simple answer...they are set way back from the lake and the sounds of water splashing don't reach any of the three paver patios/outdoor rooms.
